Rohana Wijeweera

 

 Rohana Wijeweera was born on 14 july 1943. His full name is Patabendi Don Jinadasa Nandasiri Wijeweera. His perent name is Ptabendi Don Andris Wijeweera and Nasi Nana Wickramakalutota who lived in Kottegoda. He had yonger brother Anand and yonger sister
 
Wijeweera has hos primary education at Goda Ud Govmment school in Kotagoda. he entered Goda Uda Govemment senioy school to obtain the secondary education .After he entered Ambalangoda Dharmashoka Collage. He didi GCE ordinary leve; exsamination in there. After he applied and gained a scholarship to attend the Lumumba University to stydy medicine and he went to the Soviet Union. 


He studies political science and enters politics after completing education.When he  started a party called the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna. he became world famous as a revolutionnary leadre.He has a background story before he created parties.We belive he may have had a bckground in the politicle sinces he studied at university for that revolution.With the banning of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna party in Sri Lanaka the poisonouns soialist revolution is also unscceedims.






Rohana Wijeweera became the leader in the revolutionary dynasty wqho was able to build a story in the political history of Sri Lanka. He wanted a country here class inquality was broken. Wijeweera's politics which he chose to establish his poin of view in the politics of the day. With the alternative revolution, won the hearts of young people and gave a different direction to thought on a particular issu.

However, Rohana Wijeweera was a man of insight who saw many years from now onwards. You may be  wondering if some of what he said thenis being realized today. Today, some people compare him to Prabhakaram and express different views. But it is clear that this is not the case. He clearly states that rights should be guranteed but the solution will not be divinding the countri.I think comparing Rohana Wijeweera to Prabakaran is a mistake that needs to be correct.

On 13 November 1889 Wijeweera was shot dead.The media reports that his death was caused by an accident while trying to arrest or show off his weapons, but I still feel that is a mystery.

Fontamara is a novel by the Italian autor Iganazio Silone.That  was written in the context of a political climate. Ignazio Silone tryed to highlights the injestice in Italion politics in his novel. It received worldwide acclaim and sold more than a million and a half copies in twenty seven languages. Malani Govinnage translated this novel to Sinhala language.         Background    Fontamara was very poor village in Italian. The ruler here put great pressure on the peasants and workers. For the frist  time in Italian literture peasants were the protagonists and their agricultural activities are described in great detail through the seosons.
